Terms of service
Last updated 17 October 2026
These are the terms for a Wink account, a Wink profile and a Wink card. They are short because the product is simple. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them.
The service
Wink is a startup based in Erbil, Iraq. It is a profile page at wink-app.me/your-username and the cards that open it. You tap a card on a phone, or the phone scans the QR code on the back, and your profile opens in the browser with no app to install.
A profile is free. You can sign up, claim a username and publish before you buy anything. Cards, custom designs and the first year of premium analytics are paid for by order.
Your account
An account is one person or one business, with one profile and one username. If you want a personal page and a shop, make two accounts with two email addresses; the dashboard lets you switch between them.
Keep the details on your account accurate, especially the email address, because that is where sign-in codes go. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so do not share a sign-in code with anyone.
A username is three to thirty characters: lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores. Words we use for the service itself are reserved and cannot be claimed. We may reassign a username that impersonates a person or a brand, or that breaks these terms.
Acceptable use
Your profile is yours to fill, within limits that protect the people who tap your card.
- Do not pretend to be someone else or to represent a business you do not represent.
- Do not publish anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to publish.
- Do not use your profile or your contacts to spam, harass or deceive.
- Do not try to break, overload or probe the service, or to collect data about other people's profiles automatically.
If a profile breaks these rules we may unpublish it, restrict the account or close it. We will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Orders and payment
Every price is in Iraqi dinar and is shown in full at checkout before you confirm, including any delivery fee and any discount from a voucher. The price you see on the review step is the price you pay.
You can pay cash on delivery, to the courier when the parcel is handed over. Where a transfer method is offered, you send the amount to the account shown, enter the transfer reference and upload a photo of the receipt, and a member of the team confirms it. Your order moves on once the payment is confirmed.
An invoice is issued for every order. Refunds are decided case by case: contact support with your order reference and we will look at it.
Delivery
We deliver anywhere in Iraq by courier, or you can collect in person. Delivery is arranged by phone, so the number on your address must reach you.
A card arrives already linked to your profile and already active. There is no activation code and nothing to set up. The first tap opens your profile and confirms to us that the card reached you.
If a delivery fails because the address or phone number was wrong, or the parcel was refused, we will contact you to arrange another attempt.
Custom designs
On a plan with a custom card you upload your own artwork or ask us to design it. Either way, you confirm that you own the rights to everything in the design, including logos, photographs and fonts, or have permission to use them. You are responsible for any claim that says otherwise.
Before anything is printed you approve the design. A card is printed exactly as approved, and the chip inside it is written and locked, so an approved design cannot be changed afterwards. Check spelling before you tick the box.
On a plan with a custom profile design, our team builds one of the designs you chose around your content. The design is for your profile on Wink and is not transferable.
The first year and renewal
The price of a card includes the card itself and the first year of profile hosting and premium analytics. After the first year, 10,000 IQD a year keeps premium analytics and hosting active.
Renewal is arranged with the team. Nothing is charged automatically and no card is stored on file, so there is no surprise payment. We will be in touch before your year ends.
Lost cards and replacements
If a card is lost, report it in My Winks. It stops opening your profile at once and shows a short page saying the card is no longer in use. A lost card can be brought back only by contacting support, because that protection is the point of reporting it.
A replacement for a lost, broken or scratched card costs from 10,000 IQD and uses the design you already approved, so there is nothing to approve again. A new design is a new order.
Team orders
Team orders for one business get 10% off, under the conditions shown when the order is set up. Team orders are arranged with us directly: we can open accounts for everyone, link every card before delivery and carry one brand across all of them. The discount is applied by the team when the order is set up.
Content and ownership
What you put on your profile stays yours. By publishing it you give us permission to store it, show it to the people who open your profile, cache it so it opens quickly, and make the things a profile needs from it: a QR code, a contact card for "Save contact", and a title and description for when your link is shared. That permission ends when you remove the content or close your account, except for copies in caches and backups for a short time afterwards.
Wink, its design, its software and its name are ours. You may not copy the service or use the Wink name as your own.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep profiles reachable at all times, and we build them to open fast on slow connections. Still, no service is up every second, and we cannot promise it will be.
We may change features, add plans and change prices for new orders. A change to these terms moves the date at the top; a change that affects something you have already paid for will be explained to you first.
Liability, in plain words
We are responsible for making the card work and the profile open as described. We are not responsible for what you publish, for what the people who tap your card do with it, or for a loss that comes from your own content or from a phone that does not read NFC.
If something we did goes wrong, our liability for an order is limited to what you paid for that order. Nothing here takes away a right that the law gives you and that cannot be given away.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Iraq. If we have a disagreement, talk to us first; most things are solved in a message.
